Mcguire`s Sushi in Destin

I was not expecting a place with a name like "McGuire's" to have great sushi -- and I was surprised. The service is excellent, and the sushi is just as good. Terrific cuts of fish. If I return to the Ft. Walton Beach area, I'm definitely going back to McGuire's.

Delicious food! Sushi was amazing - just the right amount of rice.

One wouldn't initially think an Irish Pub could pull off an independent sushi restaurant, but they do it with excellence. The food is good and fresh, fair priced, and the staff is really friendly. The manager Anthony runs a place that gives a great experience and treats everyone like they are the most important guest. If you want sushi while on the Emerald Coast, go to McGuires Sushi

If you are so so hungry you definitely won’t eat even the middle of the food. And if you are starving and you eat all the meal, you have all my honor. Food is huge here

Had a desire for some sushi and saw that this was recommended. It did not disappoint. Quaint little place next to the same named Irish pub. Walls covered with vintage film posters and bright red decor made for a festive ambiance. Not a hugely extensive menu but certainly something for everyone. Nice selection of wines and sake available.The fish was extremely fresh and melted in your mouth. Generous sized rolls and beautifully presented. Prices ran from $6 for starters to $17 for special Bruce Lee roll (delicious). We went mid afternoon so the place was pretty empty and the service was fast. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <======= Did I use enough punctuation? No, I don't think I did... It was incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anthony was super helpful! He was able to make a table for 8 on a Saturday night during the summer (and covid)! Emily was a great server and there was a manager named Jason Smith that made my kids feel welcomed.All of these by itself would earn them 5 stars:Dragon punch was 5 starsBruce Lee roll was 5 stars Hurricane roll was 5 starsOrdering kids food from next door is basically instantly ready... So the kids were busy while we were chomping on incredible Sushi!

By far the best sushi in Okaloosa!! Decent priced and good service. Seating is selective. Oh and defiantly try the dragon punch!

Sean and Ben are two incredible sushi chefs. Anthony is the best waiter. This place is a must for the best sushi in town. It's my wife's and my every-other-week sushi fix. The Dragon Punch is a definite drink to try (I like mine with pineapple juice instead of orange juice...we call it the "Shoryuken"). If you love McGuire's, the Irish Pub, this sushi joint matches in quality and quantity in every way. You'll thank me later!

Love love love this place! So quiet, and the decor brings it all together! Very nice staff and attentive too! They specialize in sushi and that is all you will find here, which is completely fine. Very good place to go!

Everyone there was super friendly! The waiter talked with us and joked with us like we were close buddies. We were treated like friends and the sushi was sooooo delicious!!! We ended up overeating because it was so good!!! Want affordable, amazing sushi? Here is the place to go!!!!

Fresh. Very fresh. No cheap after taste in your mouth. Owner was very professional. I got the Bruce Lee and Crunchy Shrimp. Both were very very good. Served to-go very quick. 👍👍

Wasn't bad at all. Lamb chops were tasty and the steak was a good portioned size also. Both were cooked to a perfect medium and that's more than you can ask for. The burger was decent and if the sides had more seasoning, I'd happily give the place 4 stars.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday here while on vacation in Destin. We both agree McGuire’s is some of the best sushi we’ve ever had!! We enjoyed it so much we came back again later that week before we went back home.

I frequent mcguires regularly but never tried the sushi. I must say this will be my new go to spot for sushi! The happy hour is a great deal. But their custom rolls are phenomenal! My favorite was the sumo roll with jalapeño instead of cucumber! Also had the Bruce lee roll, and hurricane roll. We also enjoyed drinks as well. The dragon punch was a little too sweet for my liking, and the sake wasn’t my cup of tea. But if course Mcguires is know for their beers!!! So we definitely indulged in multiple rounds! Great staff too, Anthony was a class act and Garcia was Hilarious! The entire team seemed to love working with each other which you don’t see that this much in today’s service industry! Will definitely return!

Bryce is the guy who made my roll and oh my goodness he changed my mind about sushi.

Awesome sushi- great service. Chef is willing to accommodate special requests if they have the ingredient on hand. Added bonus- if someone from your party isn’t into sushi, they let us order from the other restaurant.

You wanna know what was great? The sushi, surprisingly. You wanna know what wasn't that great, but just average, the drinks. I was surprised because I thought it would be the opposite, but whatever. The staff was polite and efficient and my wife and I had a great time. It's a small space not really ideal for a big family, but other than that no complicated wait times or issues. Definitely avoid the "dragon" drink everyone suggests, there are better options. Enjoy!

By far the BEST Sushi restaurant I have ever ate at. The fish was fresh, the service was amazing and the restaurant was very clean. Wish I could rate it 10 stars

It was pretty good. Absolutely the worst parking, we parked 2 blocks away, and because McGuires pub is there separate from the sushi, it was a filled parking lot. We got to the sushi place and there was only 2 tables and a few at the bar. We waited quite a bit of time for our sushi that was handed to another table first. I have been to many sushi places, and they were by far the slowest chefs I have seen. Good food, but would not return. With tip. Was $75 for 3 rolls and nagiri.

Really kind workers. Talked respectively as I ate at the bar. Good portion sizes. I liked the posters they have hanging around. You can get dessert from the pub.

Tourist trap but worth the stop anyway. "McGuire's" has 3 different style of restaurants in the shopping area... Service was pretty good and the rolls tasted fresh.

Best sushi I have ever had. I usually don't even like sushi, but this was amazing.

We had a fantastic time at this place last October. It was a new addition since our last trip down. We love McGuire's, and we stopped in here while waiting for our table in the main restaurant to enjoy a roll and some sake. We had so much fun and enjoyed it so much we went back the next day for dinner. Solid sushi, great staff, we had a blast. Highly recommended.

Best sushi I have found in this area. Service is spot on. Ben is phenomenal...as are the rest of the sushi chefs. They will create beautiful ..flavorful dishes that are not on the menu if you ask. I always tell them to create what ever they desire and I have yet to be disappointed.

Very delicious. We had 2 rolls, 1 order of nigiri, and miso soup. Everything was well presented and tasted amazing. The service was very friendly. Would love to come again.

I love sushi and this is the best place in Destin to have some. Their sushi chef is really awesome, menu is very good, staff is very friendly with great service. They have great wine selection or you can buy bottle in their gift shop and bring it to the restaurant. They will open it for you and serve it. I definitely recommend this place.

Best sushi I have found, so far, in the panhandle! Not only is it the best, but the wait staff was awesome! Anthony and Elizabeth were Rockstars!!! The parking is a mess, this is the only downside, but there is $5 valet available. Visiting this place is a must!

My wife and I just ate there for dinner. All I can say is WOW!! We had the Bruce Lee Roll, Red Dragon Roll, Sumo Roll, and Godzilla Roll. We are stuffed! It was by far the best sushi we have ever eaten!!! 10/10 definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely amazing. The quality was brilliant, the staff was attentive, and the presentation was beautiful. On the $$ side but worth it! You get 9-12 rolls for each order. Recommended 100%

Great place in destin to get some sushi. Even when the pub is packed the sushi place is almost never too busy. Fast service and great food.

The sushi here was really really good. My spouse is from Japan and she said this was some of the freshest sushi she's had since moving to the states.

We got this Togo and brought it back to our suite and ate it in the balcony with ocean views! This was so fresh and very good. They got everything right on our over the phone order. Even the presentation of the sushi itself was amazing, even on Togo plates! I would highly recommended this place even tho it has an Irish name! Lol

Really good sushi. Well decorated, kinda like Rock n Roll sushi but more movie and pop culture stuff. Good ambiance. Good service. Really good food. Highly recommend.

Just ate here and Garcia was extremely informative and kind! We finished 18 rolls in a matter of 5 minutes! Delicous food! 😍 Miso soup cheap and delicious! My favorite was the Alaskan roll! Will come again soon
